On Wednesday December 26th at 11am there will be a gathering inside Eaton's Centre (by the fountain) to do a WORSHIP FLASH MOB and bring the presence of God down into our city. When we worship God strongholds are broken, walls comes down, the heavens are opened and supernatural things begin to happen. This is why United For Canada is calling upon all Christians from different ethnic backgrounds and denominations to unite and worship God on that day.

We have revamped our website. It still features the classic design by Peter Reitsma (http://www.amstier.com) but now has an array of new features (such as built-in search, text resizing, print-friendly views, breadcrumbs and language switching) all made possible since we migrated to the Ecclesiact Website System.

But we're not done yet.
Over the coming days and weeks we'll be doing some reorganising to make sure that our content is right up to date, and we'll be adding articles by team members that showcase Transformational initiatives happening right here in Canada that will hopefully inspire you to greater heights in your own transformational endeavours.

Last Sunday, Jim Craig spoke at Mitlon Portico. We are a small congregation meeting at the Best Western Hotel at 10:15 on Sunday mornings. He shared about this website & how we can adopt our street & pray for our neighbours. Jim also challenged us to find out about our politicians and leaders & the needs of our community, and pray for the Town we live in.

Yesterday, I adopted my street, and I sent an email to Mayor Gordon Krantz, and to each Town Councillor, and to the public & Catholic school board Trustees. I asked each of them how I may pray for them & the needs of the community.

I've already started getting responses. As I receive others, I will share a list of things to pray for so others will be informed of the needs in our area and what we should talk to God about.

I had a great phone conversation with one of our Town Councillors who has had a difficult year due to some mistakes he made in his personal life which have been made public knowledge due to his position. We chatted for some time, and I followed up with an email letting him know I appreciated our conversation, and sharing my prayer for him.

It is my prayer that God will help this man, as well as our other local, provincial, and national leaders. I pray God will help them to be men and women of integrity. I pray they will be as concerned about their character as their reputation. I pray they will make wise decisions when it comes to spending, taxes, services, long-term commitments, use of land, etc.

We will not change & our world will not change if we just go to church on Sunday mornings, and then live our lives as if we did not hear the message that was preached. We must be doers of the word.

I am telling you all of this to let you know the impact the conference you organized in Mississauga has had on me. I want to thank you and Ed Silvoso for what you did, and to encourage you to "keep up the good fight". If you ever need help organizing or promoting another "Transform Canada" conference I would be happy to help in whatever way I can.

Attending the Transformation Canada conference at World Vision in 2010 and hearing Ed Silvoso and others speak about transforming the marketplace, schools, and cities was a life changer for me. After attending the conference I read a number of Ed's books. This inspired me to start a Partners Worldwide affiliate group in Wingham where we get together (monthly) with a growing group of [Christian] business owners. We are going throughout the book "Anointed for Business", discussing each chapter, encouraging and praying for each other as we seek to be "Marketplace Ministers".
